Levels of Care

Residential

Momenta Recovery offers a 90-day Residential program. This treatment provides clients with a high level of structure, support, and accountability while they engage in their therapeutic process. It’s a crucial step for many who have struggled to address trauma, mental health, or addiction issues in their home environment.

Residential treatment allows clients to safely explore their issues without exposure to everyday stressors. It offers personalized, comprehensive care based on individual needs in a 24/7 supportive environment, helping manage acute symptoms and crises effectively.

During their stay, clients participate in:

  • Over 30 hours of scheduled group programs per week
  • Medication management services
  • A minimum of 3 individual therapy sessions per week
  • Access to Momenta’s comprehensive clinical offerings

Momenta believes that 90 days is the minimum time needed for sufficient grounding, reprocessing, and integration, given the nature of the trauma work involved.

Partial Hospitalization Program

At Momenta, the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is available only to clients who have completed our Residential Treatment Program. PHP helps clients transition gradually from the highly structured residential environment while learning to handle real-life stressors.

In the PHP program, clients:

  • Attend a minimum of 25 hours of therapeutic program per week
  • Can begin looking for work, engaging in school, or volunteering
  • Have expanded access to electronic devices
  • Can venture off-campus without constant monitoring
  • Continue to reside on the same campus as the Residential program
  • Have access to the same comprehensive clinical care

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment offers more structure than traditional outpatient therapy but less than Residential or Partial Hospitalization. At this level, clients don’t live at Momenta, allowing them to build more structure into their daily lives independently.

IOP features:

  • 3 three-hour groups per week
  • One individual therapy session per week
  • Randomized drug and alcohol testing for accountability
  • Flexibility to apply learned skills to daily life challenges
  • Integration of clinical care with outside medical providers for medication management

For many, IOP is a step down in their treatment journey, while for others, it may be their entry point.

Outpatient

Outpatient care is offered as a continuation of our higher levels of care, tailored to individual needs. It’s a personalized program created collaboratively between the client and their primary clinician, based on ongoing support, structure, and accountability needs.

The program may vary:

  • Some clients may attend two groups per week and an individual therapy session
  • Others may have one therapy session per week

This flexibility ensures that each client receives the appropriate level of care as they progress in their recovery journey.
