Our approach is rooted in the understanding that women struggling with addiction have often experienced trauma, either preceding or during their substance abuse. At Momenta, we firmly believe that addressing and healing from trauma is not just beneficial, but essential for achieving lasting recovery.
We recognize that the journey to recovery is unique for each individual, and our program is flexible enough to accommodate these differences while maintaining a focus on the shared experiences of women in recovery.
It’s crucial to understand that addiction affects women differently than men, both in terms of physical health and mental well-being. Our experienced team of professionals is well-versed in these gender-specific nuances of addiction and recovery. This expertise has allowed us to tailor our program to address the multifaceted and unique needs of women embarking on their recovery journey.
Our approach encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of recovery, recognizing that true healing involves more than just addressing the addiction itself. From specialized medical care to trauma-informed therapy and wellness activities, every aspect of our program is designed with the female experience in mind.
We believe that by providing a supportive, understanding, and women-centered environment, we can help our clients not only overcome their addiction but also thrive in their recovery and beyond.
Who Momenta Serves
Momenta Recovery provides drug and alcohol rehab exclusively for adult women (18+) across Colorado. Many of the women who come to us are navigating more than one challenge at once — and our program is built to treat the whole person, not just a single diagnosis. We welcome women who are struggling with:
- Alcohol use disorder — from early problem drinking to long-standing dependence
- Substance use disorders — including prescription medications, opioids, stimulants, and other drugs
- Trauma and PTSD — including childhood trauma, abuse, grief, and loss
- Co-occurring mental health conditions — such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders that often accompany addiction
Treating Addiction and Mental Health Together (Dual Diagnosis)
For many women, addiction and mental health struggles are deeply intertwined. Treating one without the other rarely leads to lasting recovery. That’s why Momenta provides integrated, dual-diagnosis care — our clinical team addresses substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions side by side, as part of one coordinated plan. This whole-person approach to substance abuse treatment in Colorado gives women the best chance at healing that lasts.
