Leading with Love

Philosophy

The mission of Momenta is to always lead with love as we provide women with the space and support they need to achieve true, lasting recovery. We focus on rewriting the story we tell ourselves about who we are and where we fit in this world. We can put behind us the shadows and darkness of the disease of addiction and the stigma of mental illness. We do this through uncovering, discovering and moving through paralyzing experiences, like trauma, so we can discard them by moving our energy into the light of recovery.

We specialize in the treatment of women and their families, working to provide them with female and mindfulness-oriented care that is often missing in rehabilitation. We believe that this allows us to become significant parts of the solution rather than contributing to the problems that ripple through communities throughout our nation.

As one of only a few recovery centers in the states tailored exclusively to women and led by a team of industry-leaders in the mental health field, we are uniquely qualified to support women through the traumas they experience. Our culture of love and service creates healing opportunities to lead women out of the isolation of addiction into a more productive life for themselves and the people they love.

Alena Ward
Director of Alumni Relations

Alena Ward serves as Director of Alumni Relations at Momenta, where she nurtures lasting connections with the women who have moved through the program — celebrating their milestones, welcoming them back into the community, and reminding them they’re never alone in recovery.

Alena’s path to this role is a little unconventional: she first joined Momenta as its executive chef, nourishing clients in the most literal sense and coming to see that healing happens around the table as much as anywhere else. That same warmth and care now shape how she supports Momenta’s alumnae.

Grounded in Momenta’s “Leading with Love” philosophy, Alena believes recovery is a lifelong journey best walked alongside others. She finds deep meaning in staying connected with women long after their time in the program — cheering on their growth and helping them build a community they can lean on.

She is passionate about building the systems and structure that allow Momenta’s mission — to lead with love — to thrive, freeing clinicians and staff to focus on what matters most: the women they serve. What drew Jayden to Momenta Recovery was its unique position as a small, trauma-focused women’s facility addressing a critical gap in treatment options, and its commitment to helping women reclaim their voices and rebuild their lives.
