Emmy Crowder is a Recovery Technician at Momenta Recovery, where she supports clients throughout their day-to-day recovery journey. In her role, she provides emotional support, helps foster structure and accountability, assists with programming, and contributes to a safe, consistent environment where clients can focus on healing.
Emmy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Boston University and is currently working toward her Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) certification. She plans to continue her education in Human Services as she progresses toward becoming a Certified Addiction Specialist.
Her work in addiction recovery is deeply personal. As someone in recovery herself—and a former client of Momenta Recovery—Emmy brings a unique perspective shaped by lived experience. Her journey inspires her commitment to giving back to the same community that played a pivotal role in her own healing.
Emmy takes a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, emphasizing empathy, autonomy, and meeting clients where they are. She is particularly passionate about working with women navigating trauma and substance use disorders, and she incorporates peer support and real-world recovery insight into her work.
Known for her authenticity, compassion, and nonjudgmental presence, Emmy builds meaningful connections with clients while encouraging growth, accountability, and self-belief. She finds the most reward in witnessing clients rediscover their confidence, rebuild their sense of self, and begin to take ownership of their lives.
Outside of work, Emmy enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking, backpacking, trail running, and paddleboarding. She is also an active participant in the Aspen Women’s Golf League and enjoys life with her five Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Her message to clients is simple: even in the most difficult moments, change is possible—and the work they are doing can become the foundation for a life beyond what they imagined.
