Kari Yuen brings extensive expertise in addiction treatment and mental health to her role as Primary Clinician at Momenta Recovery. With credentials including NCC, LSC, LPC, and EMDR certification, Kari offers comprehensive therapeutic support for clients on their recovery journey.
Drawing from her decade of experience as an international Prevention Specialist and speaker on addiction issues, Kari brings a unique multicultural perspective to her clinical work. Her educational background includes a BS in Psychology, an MA in School Counseling, and an additional degree in Clinical Mental Health.
Kari’s professional experience spans diverse settings, including Wilderness therapy, her role as Director of Programs with the StandUpFoundation, and work as a Mental Health Clinician at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation Youth Facility in Minnesota before joining Momenta Recovery on Colorado’s Western Slopes.
As someone in long-term recovery herself, Kari brings personal insight and authentic empathy to her work with clients. She is deeply committed to walking alongside clients as they navigate their recovery journey, creating spaces of support, hope, and opportunity where transformation can flourish.
Kari’s approach emphasizes that everyone has the capacity to develop a stronger sense of self and purpose. She is dedicated to helping clients address trauma and discover new freedom and happiness in their lives.
