At Momenta Recovery, we believe that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—and that recovery is most sustainable when the entire family system is involved in the process. That’s why we’ve developed a robust and intentional virtual Family Program designed to support the emotional health, education, and long-term healing of each woman’s identified support system.
Our Family Services program supports families facing behavioral challenges, emotional dysregulation, and parenting difficulties. We work directly with caregivers to foster strong, healthy relationships within the family unit.
We offer several specialized services including Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and family therapy. Each treatment plan is individually tailored to address your family’s specific needs.
Why a Virtual Family Program?
We recognize that many families face barriers—geographic, financial, or emotional—that can prevent in-person participation. Offering our Family Program virtually removes these obstacles, making healing accessible to more families while maintaining consistency and connection throughout the client’s treatment experience. If in-person engagement becomes possible, we are happy to accommodate those requests on an individual basis.
What Families Can Expect
Families are engaged early—within the first few days of a client’s admission. Weekly outreach from the Momenta clinical team helps gather relationship histories, establish support networks, and prepare families for deeper therapeutic involvement. Here’s what you can expect:
- Weekly Family Check-Ins: Ongoing calls with clinicians to foster connection, education, and emotional support.
- Bi-Monthly Virtual Family Workshops: Each 90-minute session includes a clinical education segment followed by open discussion with other families—creating space for shared understanding and peer connection.
- Customized Family Therapy Sessions: Once readiness is assessed clients and families may begin integrated family therapy sessions tailored to their needs.
Clinical Approach: Rooted in Attachment Theory
The Momenta Family Program is grounded in Attachment Theory, which allows us to explore how past experiences, trauma, and family dynamics shape patterns of connection and communication. Our approach focuses on:
- Educating families on trauma, substance use, and co-occurring conditions
- Identifying roles, patterns, and communication breakdowns in the family system
- Encouraging emotional accountability and healing across generations
- Providing a nonjudgmental space for reflection, empathy, and repair
Modalities used include psychoeducation, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and experiential interventions like psychodrama, depending on family needs and clinical recommendations.
Outcomes You Can Expect
Families who participate in the Momenta Family Program often report:
- Greater understanding of their loved one’s recovery journey
- Improved communication and emotional regulation
- Renewed connection and healthier boundaries
- Confidence in their role as ongoing recovery allies
At Momenta, we treat the family as part of the client—because lasting recovery is built on connection, not just for the individual, but for the system they belong to.
